SIBO

Bacterial overgrowth syndrome (SIBO – small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) is a group of clinical symptoms caused by excessive growth of bacterial flora in the small intestine.

Depending on the cause and the severity of bacteria colonizing these areas, it can take a variety of forms – from moderate digestive discomfort, through diarrhea, to severe malabsorption and nutrient deficiencies.
